***My Simply Sweet Publix Trip!***

We are leaving for vacation tomorrow, so I wanted to head to Publix this morning to get some of the sweetest deals that I have come across for this week's Publix sale. I SPENT: $9.61 and SAVED: $129.87!!! Of that total, $3.70 was sales tax--gotta love it! ;-) My cashier, Lori was so sweet and very patient with me as I had over 30 coupons! ;-)

I was able to stock up on Toothpaste for donations and the cookie mix will be for baking during the holidays! I was also able to use the rest of my $3 Snuggle Fabric softener coupons for FREE Fabric Softener.

Here is my Simply Sweet breakdown and the coupons that I used:

-5 Glade Home Fragrance Collection candles @ $3.19 each minus 5 $3/1 coupons from the Publix coupon booklet-One Stop. One Store. = .95 for all 5 candles!

-1 2oz. bottle of Publix hand sanitizer @ .99 minus FREE Publix Baby Club coupon = FREE! It pays to be a member of the Publix Baby Club!

-2 bottles of Snapple Diet Green Tea @ .99 each minus 1 BIGI IP coupon (link no longer available) stacked with 1 .55/1 IP coupon found here: =.45 for 2 bottles of my favorite tea!

-6 boxes of assorted Krusteaz Bakery Style cookie mix BOGO @ $2.29 each minus 6 $1/1 manuf. coupons from the 10/11 SS = .84 for ALL 6 boxes!!

-3 bottles of Snuggle Liquid Fabric Softener on sale for $3 each minus 3 $3/1 coupons from the 10/4 RP = FREE for all 3 bottles! You can also score FREE Fabric softener at Family Dollar with this coupon. That is where I used my other 6 coupons for FREE fabric softener sheets!

- 4 packets of Old El Paso Taco Seasoning mix BOGO @ .97 each minus 2 .60/2 IP coupons found here: .74 for 4 packets of seasoning mix!

-2 cannisters of Progresso Bread crumbs BOGO @ $1.97 each minus $1/2 IP coupon found here: =.97 for 2 cannisters of bread crumbs!

-14 tubes of assorted Arm and Hammer toothpaste BOGO @ $2.99 each minus 7 $3/2 coupons from the 8/16 SS = 14 tubes of toothpaste for FREE! I will be donating most of this as my toothpaste stockpile is overflowing at the moment! ;-) Also, I wanted to mention to you, this is when it pays to save your coupon inserts for several months! If there is a deal that comes along, you will have the coupons! It helps with organization to keep your inserts arranged by date as well, that way, you know exactly where to look when a sweet sale like this one pops up! ;-)

-1 tube of Maybelline Stilletto Lash water-proof mascara on sale for 40% off of $5.69 = $3.89 minus $2/1 Publix coupon from the Yellow Advantage flier stacked with the $1/1 manuf. coupon from the 10/11 RP = .89 for some really awesome mascara!

-2 packages of assorted Hillshire Farms Sausages on sale for $1.99 each minus 2 Publix $1/1 sausage link coupons stacked with the $1/2 manuf. coupon from the 10/4 RP = .98 for packs of BIG smoked  sausages! I think I am going to run back by Publix tonight on my way home from the gym to grab a couple more packs of these. These are so great to have in the freezer!

-2 packages of 8 O'Clock French Vanilla coffee BOGO @ $4.93 each minus $2/2 IP coupon found here: = $2.93 for 2 bags of some really great coffee! This is really some of the best coffee that I have ever had! ;-)

-1 bottle of Sundown Calcium @ $3.99

-1 bottle of Sundown Vitamin B-6 *** for both bottles of vitamins I used the Publix $6/2 coupon from the Green flier stacked with 2 $1/1 manuf. coupons from the 10/4 RP = FREE vitamins!

- 2 boxes of Oreo Snacksters BOGO @ 3.29 each minus 2 $1/1 peelie coupons that  I had from awhile back = $1.29 for BOTH boxes! Drew does not like sweets, but he LOVES Oreos! I think he got that from his daddy! ;-)

-2 boxes of Pillsbury Toaster Strudels on sale for $1.67 each minus 2 $1/1 IP coupons found here: = $1.34 for 2 boxes!

-minus $5/50 Competitor's coupon from GFS Marketplace (I found this coupon in my Entertainment Coupon booklet!)

Well, I think that is all for today's sweet trip! I know that many of you tell me how much you like to see the break-down and coupons used, so I love to help you out in any way that I can!

I will be leaving for vacation to **C-O-L-D** NY tomorrow, but I will still be blogging away while I am there! Go out and have a super sweet day, everyone! ;-)

Heather- You mentioned organizing your coupons by date...I would LOVE to know just how you organize your coupons! What kind of thing do you use to hold them all? Is it some sort of binder? I have all my coupons categorized by what they are but have been having a time with catching ones that expire when I want to use them! I would love to see how you store your coupons!

Are you using the Glade candles for the SC Johnson rebate? :)
Somehow I missed the memo that they are $3.19, so I will be getting lots of candles and doing the rebate for a MM!

I wish we had a Publix near me! The best I can do is Shaws. I did get 8 boxes of Quaker chewy granola bars and 2 boxes of Quaker instant oatmeal for $3.50 last week.

When I get home from vacation I will have to do another coupon organization post and show you how I organize my coupons by date. I did do the binder method, but have found that just takes too much time! It is so much easier to have the inserts arranged by date that way I know exactly where my coupons are! ;-)

Yes, I am using those candles for the SC Johnson rebate! It is a great MM! ;-)

Rachel, that is an awesome job on the Oatmeal and Granola bars! I love Shaws! When Keith's parents lived in Boston, I used to love going there with Mom B!

I am so glad that you can learn from my posts even if you don't have a Publix! I love to show you what you can get for your money! Thanks again! ;-)

Ok thanks! I am also finding it rather hard to keep track of them in a binder! Can't wait to see! Have a good time up north!
