The Best Things to Buy in June

(All posts may contain affiliate links or sponsored content. Please see my disclosure policy)

Summer is in full swing and many of us are planning where to go, what to do and how to keep the kids busy during these busy months. With that being said, it is also a great time to find bargains on many things.

Swimwear/Lingerie– Most stores are offering great deals on swimwear for the entire family. I have discounts as much as 50% off.  Don’t forget to check warehouse clubs like Sam’s Club for swimwear deals. I recently purchased my son Drew a pair of Nautica swim trunks for $12.97 at our local Sam’s Club. While shopping, I also noticed adorable women’s 2 piece swim sets for under $30. I have also noted that many stores are offering promotional offers on lingerie right now so it may be a great time to replenish if you need to do so!

Father’s Day Sales– Since Father’s Day is just around the corner, you may be able to find some great deals on items for dad. Check stores like Harbor Freight, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Lowe’s and The Home Depot. I often find that there are great bargains on items like tools and sporting equipment around this time of the year as most stores are trying to market around dads. I would especially be on the lookout for gift card with purchase promotional offers. Don’t forget about restaurant deals. Many restaurants will offer discounts or even freebies for Father’s Day so don’t forget to ask.

Dishes– June seems to be a popular month for weddings and retailers are competing for your gift budget. Prices will be slashed on many dishes and dinnerware items, so if you need to replace items this is a great month to do so! I have seen some great deals including gift card with purchase options so be on the lookout at your favorite department stores!

Semi Annual Sales– June is also a great month for semi-annual sales at stores like Victoria’s Secret and Bath and Body Works. Many products are marked down as much as 75% off! I purchased hands soaps for $1.75 this week at Bath and Body Works so it definitely pays to stock up at these prices! I also like to buy items at the semi-annual sales for birthdays and the holidays. This is a great way for me to keep my gift closet stocked without breaking the bank.

Gym Memberships– Believe it or not, June is one of the best months of the year to buy a gym membership! The weather is at its peak so most people are enjoying the outdoors for exercise. With that being said, gyms want your business so they are offering incentives to get you inside their doors! In fact, you may even be able to negotiate a deal to your favorite gym! It doesn’t hurt to ask. I recently scored a great deal to my local YMCA. If you joined during the month of May, they were waiving the $100 Family Join Fee. That is a huge savings for my family of 4! I went ahead and joined during that time as I know that the boys and I will get so much use out of our local YMCA this summer!

Save on Easy Plant-Based Meal Solutions at Publix

This post is sponsored by Pinnacle Foods & Boulder Brands. All comments and opinions are my own.

As the mom of a busy family, I love to make sure that I incorporate delicious, yet healthy ingredients into each of our meals. I feel that it can sometimes be a challenge to find items that are rich in nutrients, full of flavor, and easy to get on the table.

Thankfully, I can create healthier, plant-based meal solutions with items found right at my local Publix. With plant-based products from Birds Eye ®, Gardein TM and Earth Balance ®, I can be assured that I am feeding my family high-quality foods without giving up taste or convenience.

Gardein products offer a range of tasty plant-based foods with a meaty texture. While they taste like meat, these products are made from soy, wheat and pea proteins, vegetables and ancient grains like quinoa, amaranth, millet and kamut (to name a few). Gardein products are also cholesterol-free and have no trans or saturated fats. In addition, they are animal and dairy free, so they make a fantastic meal solution for many lifestyles! We tried the Gardein Seven Grain Crispy Tenders and my boys loved them! ! They are bursting with flavor in every bite and I feel good about what I am giving my family to eat!

Birds Eye Steamfresh Southwest Style Protein Blends were the perfect complement to the Gardein Seven Grain Crispy Tenders! Located in the freezer section at Publix, Birds Eye Steamfresh Protein Blends are packed with protein and nutrient rich vegetables, grains and beans. They have 10 grams of plant-based protein per serving and are high in iron. I especially love that these can be cooked right in the bag, and are ready to eat in just minutes! While in the freezer section at Publix, make sure that you also look for Birds Eye Steamfresh Superfood Blends. This line of ready-to-go dishes, are made from nutrient-rich vegetables, grains and fruits. What a fun and quick way to enjoy nature’s healthiest ingredients steamed right in one bag!

Earth Balance Original Buttery Spreads are definitely my favorite when it comes to buttery spreads. It has definitely made a name for itself thanks to its creamy spreadable texture. It is perfect on toast or any of your other favorite snacks. I also love that it is plant-based, vegan, lactose-free, non-dairy, gluten-free and has 0g Trans-fat, no MSG, and is also non-GMO.

Would you like to save on these delicious plant-based products? Head over to www.getthesavings.com/chooseplantbased where you can score fantastic savings!
